Reflecting on autoethnography as a tool

Certified Member of Association for Learning Technology from 2013

The 30th ALT conference is about to take place at Warwick University and I am happy that I will be able to be there thanks to an invitation from ALT. Now I have retired (and given the cost of living these days) I would not otherwise be able to join. EUROCALL to has just celebrated 30 years at the recent Iceland conference #eurocall2023 so I am going to use a technique here I used with students and staff who joined me in the WIHEA #KNOWHOW project – reflecting on my technical tool use over the years through autoethnography. The link in the image goes here.

The aim was to engage with our experiences and to gain an insight into our own biases and preferences in order to claim agency over our future decisions and choices. To better understand ourselves. To do this I will go back further than 30 years!
